Mirvac invites Easts Group Board for an exclusive reveal of The Langlee by Mirvac

The doors have officially opened to a new sales gallery and display residence at The Langlee by Mirvac, with the Easts Group’s Board of Directors recently welcomed to take a look inside.

Mirvac has been working with the Easts Group to transform the former Waverley Bowling Club site into a new mixed-use destination, including two new bowling greens, restaurant, bar and café.

In addition to the new and exciting bowling club returning to this special site, The Langlee by Mirvac comprises 55 oversized luxury residences and penthouses across four buildings as well as a resident-only Wellness Centre which includes a 20-metre indoor lap pool, treatment and steam rooms, gym, yoga and stretching space.

The Langlee’s new sales gallery and the two-bedroom, two-bathroom display residence are located at 2D Henrietta Street, Waverley. The display residence is styled in partnership with Coco Republic, and is inspired by ‘a life well lived’, with treasured objects from abroad, pictures, and collectibles that feel like it’s already a beloved lived-in home.

Mirvac General Manager Residential Development NSW Toby Long said “Opening the new sales gallery and display residence provides prospective residents a chance to see the quality in every little detail for which Mirvac has forged its reputation over the past 50 years, offering downsizers something that they can touch and feel before they embark on their next chapter at The Langlee by Mirvac. Recent activity on site as we near completion has seen strong interest in remaining apartments.

“We are honoured to have formally welcomed the Easts Group Board to the new sales gallery and display residence – it’s not every day that an opportunity arises to unlock such a significant site. We are fortunate to have a collaborative and trusted relationship that has enabled us to deliver something remarkable for new residents to benefit from and the local community to enjoy.

Located approximately 1km from Tamarama Beach, The Langlee by Mirvac residences are oversized apartments exclusively for those aged 55 and above.

Sydney Roosters and Easts Group Chief Executive Officer Joe Kelly said the excitement around The Langlee completion is building with Members, staff and the local community.

“This project provides a diverse offering to our Members and the local community in our heartland, the Eastern Suburbs. As one of the oldest and certainly proudest bowlos in the country, it was imperative to bring a new lease of life to the site,” said Mr Kelly.

“Mirvac understood the club’s desire to have a premium locals’ venue alongside their premium residential offering and they have delivered on the brief. It’s extraordinary to see the likeness on site today to the original renders from three years ago.

“I understand we are only one of a handful of clubs in New South Wales that have incorporated a brand-new championship outdoor bowling facility into a new redevelopment. While other clubs have been selling off their bowling greens, we are proud to honour the sites rich history by prioritising this important element.”

General Manager, Mirvac Design, Brett Crellin said the team took the nearby beaches and sandstone cliffs as inspiration for the interior design and colour palette.

“We’ve referenced the Sydney sandstone with its warm beige sandy tones and strong horizontal sedimentary lines. The overall material palette is natural, relaxed, and polished,” said Mr Crellin.

“These are large residences, which allowed us to create interiors that are contemporary but also classic and timeless. Each residence embodies the perfect balance between style and functionality, where each detail serves a practical purpose without compromising on elegance.”

“Coco Republic has captured the essence of a life well lived, encouraging future residents to acknowledge the past while being excited about the future.”

“When people make a move like this, they want to understand how their furniture can seamlessly fit into their new home. The Langlee’s display residence serves as a vital canvas, demonstrating how these treasured pieces that showcase their life’s narrative, can infuse their new space with colour and profound meaning.”

Waverley Greens, the new name given to the Waverley Bowling Club by Easts is expected to open to open to the public later this year.

The Langlee by Mirvac display apartment is open seven days a week, 11 am – 4 pm at 2D Henrietta Street, Waverley.
