SCAFFOLDING REMOVAL REVEALS FACADE OF CLUB

Time is flying and we are one month closer to the opening of Waverley Greens in time for the 130th birthday celebrations! We are in the final stages of appointing the caterer who will be operating the new restaurant located within the Club, and are really excited to share this news with you shortly.

As for the internal construction works, the acoustic ceiling in the Club is now substantially complete. The installation of the architectural ceiling is underway and anticipated for completion by June. Amenities and bowlers’ areas are currently being tiled and the kitchen is being installed.

Outside the venue, the ditch walls of the bowling greens are now complete, with drainage in place ready for the laying of the turf. The championship grade bowling green will have turf laid by mid-May. The perimeter walls of the synthetic bowling green are currently being constructed.

The biggest development on the site across April has been the removal of the scaffolding to expose the façades of both the Club and the residences. The north façade of the Palmerston Building has been fully revealed with the western side underway and you’ll be able to see first-hand the contemporary look of the new Club when the perimeter scaffolding is removed on the North and East sides by the end of May.

As we near completion of the new venue, we’ll be providing more updates and announcements so make sure you keep an eye out for our emails, and you can follow our progress on Facebook and Instagram.
