Waverley Greens to Open Tuesday 10 October

Easts Group is excited to announce that Waverley Greens will open on Tuesday 10 October. After two years of construction, the new Club will open with a restaurant, external café, lounge, alfresco dining, onsite parking and bowling greens for the enjoyment and use of all Members and guests.

In December 2020, Easts Group announced its partnership with property group Mirvac to revitalise the former Waverley Bowling Club site into a contemporary lifestyle precinct and modern hospitality venue. The development moved quickly after the Ground Breaking Ceremony in April 2021 with a goal of completing the development in time to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Club.

Waverley Greens will open on Tuesday 10 October as a contemporary hospitality venue and community hub in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Located on Birrell Street opposite Waverley Oval, the Easts Group have designed the venue with the aim to bring nature indoors, with the use of natural woods and plant life to aid the transition between the interior, alfresco space and bowling greens.

The Ambry Bar and Restaurant will create exceptional culinary experiences in every aspect of the Club’s offerings, including casual dining, group gatherings, team building and special occasion reservations. The Ambry and Henrietta Street Café will be operated by Jesper Hansen’s Blond Catering, with the café set to open a day earlier on Monday 9 October.

Joe Kelly, CEO of Easts Group said, “We are very excited to be launching Waverley Greens for our Members and local community, and in the same year that the Waverley Bowling Club celebrates its 130th year.”

“We have also been fortunate to partner with Blond Catering to deliver the dining experience at both The Ambry Bar and Restaurant and Henrietta Street Café. To launch Waverley Greens with such a renowned catering organisation such as Blond Catering, ensures we have a quality dining offering for our Members and local community.”

Jesper H Hansen, Director of Blond Catering says, “We are honoured to be partnered with Easts in this renewal of Waverley Greens. I’m excited about building on that community atmosphere that was at the old clubhouse, and bringing our culinary passion and expertise to this exciting project to deliver a destination to bring people together.”

Toby Long, General Manager, Residential Development NSW at Mirvac, “When we entered into an agreement with Easts, we wanted to create an amenity-rich lifestyle that offered the best blend of both convenience and comfort to live well, as well as delivering exceptional quality that would live up to Mirvac’s reputation of attention to every detail. Congratulations to Easts Group and Blond Catering on the opening of Waverly Greens, set to be a great culinary destination for residents, Members and guests.”

Waverley Greens will herald in a new era for the Easts Group, with the team excited for the opportunity to deliver their trademark high standards of customer service and dining experiences.
